Leaf Protection Key Benefits
Below are some of the leaf protection products we offer. Call for pricing.
Specialty products - These work better than standard products to keep Twigs, pine needles, and other small debris out of your gutter. Mounts directly to the gutter. No lifting shingles. Virtually undetectable
from the ground.
Installed under the first row of shingles. Attaches to your existing gutter. Does not use screws or nails in the roof.
Standard Products - These products are mostly made just to keep leafs out of your gutters.
Drop in gutter guard Clips on to the front bead of the gutter. Installs in 3' lengths.
Vinyl Snap In Gutter Guard Installs by snapping the 3' sections on to the front edge of the gutter. No screws necessary.
Hinged gutter guard The hinges clip to the front of the gutter. This type of leaf protection is very easy to remove in case any small debris gets past the screen.
Reviews - Most of these products we would not recommend. Most of these are to pricy and cause problems for home owners after install.
Leaf Shelter Installs to the front of the gutter and under the first row of shingles. The problem with this product is that 1 - 2 years after installation the slits get filled with junk and the product stops working altogether.
Leaf Guard & K Guard more.. These are a one piece system that has a reverse curve on the top. The system is very hard to clean out when debris gets in the gutter. (the entire system must be unscrewed and taken off the fascia) Not recommended for winter use.
Gutter Helmet more even more.. This helmet is attached to the roof under the shingle with a big bracket. We do not recommend this as it could cause roofing issues and winter time blues.
Gutter Brush This is an easy system for the do-it-yourselfer but does not work very well, once enough debris gets stuck to the brush its all over. Also its not very easy to clean.
This systems works ok but there is a problem with their nylon filter deteriorating after about a year.
Gutter Cap This system lets water in ok but also lets birds, bee's and debris in as well. The system is too expensive and hard to clean the gutters out if debris gets in. Also bad for winter unless buying their heated system.
Leaf Defier Systems like this are known to cause mold and make the gutter overflow. Imagine if you had a half full glass of water and put a big sponge inside it, and then added more water.
